cool free stuff we use
the previous list shows the free stuff that we use for work. this is a list of cool free stuff we use for other things.
- nullsoft winamp: we consider this the mp3 player.
- cdex with lame: its a bit old but its the best ripper/encoder we have used so far. get the lame version that’s not in alpha.
- google earth: this is just so cool. nuff said.
- google video player: we just started using the thing and now we can download and play the free videos we find over at google video.
- flickr: what can we say? we like to show off our photos.
- need for speed: most wanted demo: if you don’t play then you can’t work. this preview can give you palpitations so be careful.
- yahoo messenger with voice: we can chat and talk to friends outside of the country for free. nuff said.
- google mail: just because we think its cool to have a gmail account. as of this writing its still by invite only so if you are one of our clients or friends or relatives send us e-mail and we’ll send over an invite.
- free download manager: we download free software and linux iso files every so often and some of those files get big — 630 megabytes (1 cdr) per iso file. a download manager is indispensable. this one’s a keeper. (added 2005.01.20)
