a job interview

i went to a job interview today. it turned out to be quite interesting for me at least.

i was almost late because i almost got lost! ha! that was funny. when i got there i was made to fill out an application form which i found tedius because it was three pages long. and i already submitted most of the data using my online resumé. and to be honest, if you’re applying for a position higher than a manager you shouldn’t be filling out those forms in the first place. but then that’s just me.

so i get to fill out the form and then the receptionist (who has a nice smile, btw) asks if i have a copy of my resumé. “ummm.. online, yes.” so i go to yahoo and download and print my resumé. thank you yahoo! briefcase.

all the while people kept calling me on the cell. ugh. c’est la vie.

now comes the interview. the recruitment director is tall and pretty, doesn’t beat around the bush and asks intelligent questions. the interview was short and sweet. from a range of 1 to 10 how much do you know this or that software, etc, etc. did i answer the questions truthfully? yes, i did. these things have a way of coming back to you if you don’t say the truth.

all in all it was an very interesting afternoon. one of these days i have to try applying in a call center or something.
