ubuntu live cd at 1280×1024
ok. i was able to get out of the 640×480 rut from ubuntu 6.06.1 live cd but now i’m stuck with a 1280×1024 screen resultion.
some of you might think that this is a good thing but things get too small on a 17″ crt monitor. plus the refresh rate of 61 hz is a bit low for my eyes.
well, at least i can browse and post this thing properly while using an ubuntu live cd.
one nice thing i found out is that both k/ubuntu distros were able to detect most of my hardware right off the bat. i was afraid i was going to fiddle around with the network settings to get connected to the internet but right after booting i was able to surf.
