well, i got some goodies today — along with several million users.
flickr is upping the monthly limit of free accounts from 20 megabytes to 100 megabytes. the pros get unlimited everything.

that’s twice the price for the srp which should be around 30k only.
nah. no thanks.

a visit to an old client

i was able to visit an old client a couple of days ago. they have scaled down some to cut costs but they’re still up and running. times are hard. but being smaller also means being nimbler.

for the past few days, askimet — the plug-in filtering out comment spam on this log — has been naughty. it reset my spam counter a week ago and again yesterday. i also noticed a surge in comment spam — in one day it went up 230+, although the counter says it has caught 223 [...]

after installing and testing apache, its time to install php. this time its a bit messy because i’m going for the manual install rather than the windows installer. in otherwords, don’t expect pictures.
