i messed with the video settings of ubuntu, shutdown and then went off to a client. i open up the computer and i get a console and a note that some settings doesn’t work and that the xserver has to be shutdown.

problem: when starting up azureus, it pauses for a few seconds and then disappears

it took some time but i was able to upgrade from ubuntu 7.04 to 7.10 over the internet.

it was pretty slow at the start with all the downloads happening at the same time but things went pretty well in the end. although i would not recommend the network upgrade path if your internet connection is [...]

i guess it happens when someone or something becomes popular.
today, ubuntu will/is releasing gutsy gibbon — ubuntu 7.10 — and it seems the ubuntu website is flooded with requests. i don’t think the ubuntu guys were expecting that much requests.

i realize that the camera’s resolution isn’t that great to begin with but that’s really how my mail looks at the moment. yeah. i really should get a new monitor.
